Cascade Capscrew M16 x 35 – CA779010

Cascade Corporation specifies this M16 hex capscrew, 2mm thread pitch and 35mm length, in the Lower Hook Group and Faceplate Group of its 35E and 45E Push/Pull attachments, four per group. It is the fastener that carries the clamping load holding those assemblies to the attachment frame.

Attachment mounting hardware works under cyclic load in a way general chassis hardware does not, since a Push/Pull cycles through its full motion range repeatedly across a shift. That duty is why the capscrew is specified by the attachment manufacturer rather than substituted from generic stock: thread, length, and seat geometry all have to match the joint they clamp.

Thread pitch is the specification most easily missed. A bolt close in diameter and length but off on pitch will not thread correctly even though it appears to fit at a glance. At 35mm, the length is sized to a specific mounting thickness in the Cascade interface, so confirming it alongside the thread specification keeps the fastener seating and torquing correctly rather than bottoming out short or protruding past the mounting surface.
