Brake Master Cylinder 3/4 in Bore – BP-2552

With a 3/4 inch bore, this brake master cylinder generates the hydraulic pressure that actuates the wheel brakes when the operator presses the foot pedal, converting pedal force into the fluid pressure that reaches the calipers or wheel cylinders. As the first component in the brake circuit, it sets the stopping power of the whole system; if it loses pressure internally, the brakes go soft no matter how well the calipers and lines downstream are maintained.

It runs on standard DOT 3 brake fluid and is cataloged for Mitsubishi and Caterpillar internal combustion forklifts, which share common engineering across several model lines, including FG and FD series trucks. The 3/4 inch bore sets how much fluid the cylinder displaces per stroke, so it has to match the brake system it feeds.

After fitting the cylinder, bleed the brake system to clear the air introduced during the swap, since trapped air leaves the pedal soft and inconsistent until it is purged. Confirm the 3/4 inch bore and the port and mounting arrangement against the unit coming off.
