It runs quietly as long as the fit stays tight; once it wears, the joint develops play and knock, which is the cue to replace it. Renewing a bushing at that point restores the tight fit far more cheaply than machining the housing it sits in.
Match the inner bore, outer diameter, and length to the bushing coming out, since those dimensions determine whether it presses in and carries the correct shaft.
