Bearing – BR-661

A bearing supports a rotating shaft while cutting the friction between the turning part and its housing, letting the shaft spin freely under load. This bearing performs that job in the assembly it was cataloged for, carrying radial or thrust load as its rolling elements turn between the races.

A bearing wears out as its lubrication breaks down and its surfaces fatigue, showing up as noise, roughness, heat, or play in the shaft it carries. Because bearings of the same look vary in bore, outside diameter, width, and seal or shield type, match those dimensions to the bearing being replaced so the new one presses in and runs true.
