Roller Bearing – BR-216

Roller bearings carry radial load through hardened rolling elements rather than a plain sleeve, and this one serves a rotating chassis point on a lift truck where a bushing would wear out faster under sustained load. The rolling element design spreads contact force across the race, so it handles heavier radial loads and higher duty cycles than a bronze bushing in the same position.

Bore diameter, outer diameter, and width all govern whether a roller bearing seats correctly, so match those three dimensions against the bearing coming out of the housing before installing, since a bearing right in bore but wrong in width will not seat to the shoulder. Confirm the bearing series and seal type as well, because greaseable and greaseless configurations and open versus shielded races are not interchangeable even at a shared bore.
