Pressed into a pivot bore in a Raymond lift truck's lift linkage, this sleeve gives the pin a renewable bearing surface to ride against instead of letting the pin work directly on the bare linkage metal. It functions as a bushing, taking the rubbing wear of the joint onto a part meant to be replaced, which protects the far more expensive linkage members from wearing oversize.

As the truck lifts and lowers through a shift, the sleeve keeps the pivot moving smoothly and holds the pin located, so the linkage stays tight rather than developing play. A worn sleeve lets the joint loosen, which shows up as knock or slop in the linkage, and fitting a fresh one restores the close fit and quiets the movement. Raymond builds this sleeve to suit its lift truck linkage assemblies. Match the sleeve's bore, outside diameter, and length to the one being pressed out, since all three govern whether it seats in the bore and fits the pin.
