A load wheel axle carries the rotating wheel and passes its load into the frame, riding in the bearings or bushings that support each end. This is Crown's load wheel axle for its WP-series electric pallet trucks, including the WP 2300 and WP 3000, where it locates the load wheel within the lift structure at the fork end.

The axle is a hardened steel shaft that takes the full rolling load of the truck through its bearing surfaces, and it is replaced when those surfaces wear, the shaft is bent, or an end feature that retains or locates it is damaged. A worn axle lets the load wheel develop play, which shows up as noise and uneven rolling under load.

Compare the axle length and the end features, the retaining grooves, flats, or drilled holes, against the shaft being replaced, since these locate the axle in the linkage and vary between load wheel positions.
