Crown builds this axle for the PE 3000 and PE 4000 rider pallet trucks, where it seats through the wheel bearing bore and locates the wheel within the chassis. The axle takes the rolling and steering loads transferred from the wheel into the frame, so a worn or scored shaft shows up as wheel play, uneven rolling, or repeated bearing wear. Replacing the axle together with the wheel and bearings restores proper fit and keeps the wheel running true.
