20 LB Silica Sand – RW-SAND

Graded silica sand supplied in a 20 pound quantity, made up of hard quartz particles screened to a consistent size. That uniform particle size and the natural hardness of quartz are what let the material pour and pack predictably and resist crushing under pressure.

The sand is chemically inert and holds up to abrasion and moderate heat without breaking down, so it stays stable in service rather than degrading or reacting with what surrounds it. Dry quartz sand of this grade is used where a clean, uniform, stable granular media is needed, and the 20 pound quantity suits smaller fill, ballast, or media applications.
