Contact Tips 4/0 – SY908

Sized for 4/0 gauge cable, these contact tips terminate the heavy battery and power cabling that carries a lift truck's full current draw. The 4/0 conductor is among the largest on the machine, and the tip provides the crimped or clamped contact face that transfers that current into the connector or terminal without overheating at the joint.

A burnt, loose, or corroded contact adds resistance that shows up as heat and voltage drop under load, which is the usual reason for replacing one. Match the tip to the 4/0 cable size and to the connector body it seats in, since a contact sized to a different gauge will not grip the conductor or lock into the housing.
