Crown Cotter Pin CR060100-004 – CR60100-004

This cotter pin fits Crown lift trucks and secures a castellated nut, clevis pin, or other through-pin fastener by passing through a drilled hole and spreading its legs to lock the connection in place.

Cotter pins are a simple, effective locking device: once inserted through the aligned holes in a nut and bolt or pin, the two legs are bent apart so the pin cannot back out under vibration, preventing the nut or pin it secures from loosening or falling free during operation. Because they are a sacrificial, single-use fastener, cotter pins are meant to be replaced rather than reused once bent and removed, and a missing or corroded cotter pin leaves the fastener it locks vulnerable to working loose. Installing a new one restores the mechanical lock on this connection on Crown equipment.
