Crown Washer – HW-1472

Steel, sized to the fastener it backs on Crown lift trucks, this washer spreads the clamping load of a bolt or nut across a wider area than the fastener head alone, cutting the pressure concentrated on the mounting surface so the material underneath does not deform or crack as the joint is torqued down.

Steel gives it the rigidity to resist flattening under high clamping loads better than a softer material would, while still presenting a smooth bearing face for the fastener to turn against during installation. Over repeated tightening and removal cycles a steel washer can corrode or wear at that face, at which point it no longer distributes load evenly and is worth replacing to protect the joint.

Sized to the fastener it backs up in Crown lift truck assemblies, it matches the bore and outside diameter of the original. Match it by inside diameter to the bolt it sits on so it clears the threads and seats flat.
