Microswitch – RA1607631CE

A microswitch reads a small mechanical movement and turns it into an electrical signal, snapping its contacts open or closed the instant an actuator reaches its trip point. Raymond uses this one in the control and interlock circuits of its lift trucks, where a lever, cam, or moving component presses the actuator and the switch tells the truck's system that a position has been reached.

Snap-action contacts give it a crisp, repeatable trip rather than a slow make-and-break that would arc and burn, which is what lets a small switch survive thousands of cycles in a working control circuit. When a microswitch fails, the function it governs goes with it: the circuit stops seeing the position change, and the truck loses whatever interlock, cutoff, or signal the switch was wired to provide.

This is a direct replacement for the failed Raymond switch in that circuit. Matching the actuator style and the contact arrangement of the original confirms it drops into the same position and wires the same way.
