Raymond's steer card is the electronic control board that governs the truck's steering system, reading operator input and feedback signals to command the steer motor and hold the wheels on course. Supplied new, it replaces a card that has failed or grown unreliable, the kind of fault that shows up as erratic steering response, drift, or a dead steering circuit.
A steer control card is the electronic board that governs a lift truck's steering system, reading operator input and position feedback and commanding the steer motor to hold the wheels on the intended course. It closes the loop between the steering control and the motor, so the truck tracks straight, returns to center, and responds proportionally to how the operator turns.
Supplied new rather than rebuilt, this card replaces one that has failed or grown unreliable. Board-level electronics fail from heat cycling, sustained vibration, moisture, and age, and a steering fault typically shows up as erratic steering response, drift, delayed reaction, or a dead steering circuit that takes the truck out of service until the control is restored. A new board starts that service life over on fresh components rather than aged ones.
It arrives as a complete, assembled card ready to install in place of the original. Match the card to the one being replaced by its part number, connector layout, and revision, since steering boards that look similar can differ in firmware and pin assignment and will not interchange freely.
