Raymond's RA560-217-05 is a hydraulic reservoir that stores the fluid supply for the lift and tilt circuits on Raymond lift trucks, sitting between the hydraulic pump's suction side and the cylinders it feeds. A reservoir does more than hold volume: it gives entrained air time to rise out of the fluid before that fluid is drawn back into the pump, and it provides the expansion space hydraulic oil needs as it heats and cools through a working shift.

Because every lift, tilt, and auxiliary hydraulic function on the truck draws from and returns to this tank, its condition affects the whole hydraulic system. A cracked or corroded reservoir lets in dirt and moisture, and contaminated fluid is one of the leading causes of premature wear in pumps, valves, and cylinder seals downstream.
