Industrial battery for Yale lift trucks, supplying traction power to electric lift trucks. It is a deep-cycle traction battery built for the repeated full discharge and recharge of daily lift-truck duty. Capacity falls as the cells age, shortening run time between charges, which is the usual reason for replacement.
Carrying the battery in its compartment, a battery roller lets a heavy traction battery slide in and out along its track on an electric lift truck during change-out and service. The battery sits on a set of these rollers, and they turn to move a pack that can weigh hundreds of pounds without dragging it across the compartment floor.
A roller is replaced when it wears flat, seizes, or no longer turns freely, all of which make the battery hard to move and can gouge the compartment or the battery case. A fresh roller restores easy, controlled battery travel and protects the tray it runs in. Match the roller diameter and its shaft or axle mounting to the unit being replaced, since compartment rollers vary in size and how they seat.
