This on-board battery charger is built into Crown electric lift trucks and includes an LED display to show charging status directly on the unit rather than requiring a separate external monitor. As an on-board charger, it stays mounted to the truck and connects to shop power to recharge the truck's battery between shifts, rather than being a standalone charging station.

On-board chargers combine power electronics and a control board in a single housing, and both are exposed to vibration, heat cycling, and the electrical stress of repeated charge cycles over the life of the truck. As internal components age, common symptoms include a charger that fails to reach full charge, cycles on and off erratically, or shows an LED status pattern that does not match a normal charge sequence.
