Crown Carbon Motor Brush Kit – 26CR0024

Carbon brushes are the only wear item in a DC motor's current path, riding against the rotating commutator to carry current from the motor's stationary wiring into the armature. This Crown kit supplies a full OEM brush set for drive and pump motors.

Brush material wears down gradually with operating hours until reduced contact area starts showing as weak power, intermittent operation, or visible arcing at the commutator. Arcing is the symptom to act on quickly, since it pits the commutator surface and turns a brush replacement into a motor rebuild.

Replacing the full kit rather than individual brushes keeps contact pressure even across every position on the commutator. Mixing new brushes with partially worn ones loads them unevenly, and the new brushes carry more than their share of current.

Brush count per kit and individual brush dimensions are not published at the catalog level. Crown's motor lineup spans multiple generations and brush kits are not universally interchangeable across them.
