The control handle is the operator's command point on a Raymond truck, the grip carrying the switches and thumb controls that steer and drive the lift, raise, lower, and travel functions, all worked by hand from a single unit. Every drive and lift input passes through it, so its switches and wiring see constant use through a shift.
