WP Controller – Rebuilt – ZAP2058R

Rebuilt Zapi SEM-0 traction controller, the 24-volt, 200-amp chopper that drives the traction motor on walkie and pallet trucks and other small electric material handling vehicles. It is built for separately excited DC motors in the 0.5 to 2.0 kW range, controlling the motor field and armature independently through MOSFET switching, which is what lets the SEM design deliver higher loaded travel speeds and stronger acceleration than a series-wound setup.

The controller runs regenerative braking, feeding energy back into the battery when the operator reverses the throttle and holding the truck on a ramp, and it carries an internal battery discharge indicator and hour meter along with a fault memory that a technician reads during diagnosis. It switches the armature at 16 kHz and is sealed to IP54 against dust and spray for the compartment environment on a working truck, rated to operate from minus 30 to plus 40 degrees Celsius with automatic current reduction as temperature climbs, protecting itself rather than failing outright. The SEM-0 is the drive controller used across 24-volt walkie and pallet trucks from Yale, Hyster, Clark, Crown, and Caterpillar that run the separately excited motor system.

As a rebuilt unit it is a tested, functional replacement for a failed original controller, matched to the SEM-0 form and connection, and because these controllers hold model-specific parameters, the replacement is programmed to the truck it goes into. Forklifts Etc. supplies it rebuilt as the direct alternative to a costly new controller.
