Bussmann Fuse 200A 125VAC/80VDC – ANN-200

Rated at 200 amps, this Bussmann ANN-series limiter is a very fast acting fuse built to protect power semiconductors and motor circuits that cannot tolerate a slow interruption. Its speed is the point: a very fast acting limiter clears a fault in a fraction of the time a standard fuse takes, holding down the let-through energy that would otherwise reach and destroy expensive control electronics.

The fuse carries a 125 VAC and 80 VDC rating from the ANN series, which suits it to the low-voltage DC power circuits found on electric material handling equipment, and it is used in Crown electric lift truck applications. The flat, bolt-down body measures roughly 3-3/16 inches and clamps directly to bus terminals rather than seating in a clip, giving a low-resistance, vibration-resistant connection able to carry high continuous current.

A blown limiter is usually the symptom of an overload or short elsewhere in the circuit, so a replacement goes in after the underlying fault is found and cleared.
