Bussmann Fuse 800A – ANN-800

Rated at 800 amps, this Bussmann ANN-series fuse is a very fast acting limiter built to interrupt a high-current fault before it can damage the power electronics downstream. The ANN series carries a 125 volt AC and 80 volt DC rating, sizing it to the DC power circuits of electric lift trucks where a controller, contactor, or motor draws heavy current and a short has to clear in milliseconds. Its very fast acting element is what separates it from a standard fuse, opening far quicker under a severe overload to protect semiconductors and cabling that a slower fuse would let cook.

Bussmann, part of Eaton, builds the ANN as a bolt-down limiter with knife or stud terminations for a permanent, low-resistance connection in a main power path rather than a plug-in holder. On Crown electric lift trucks it guards the main battery and drive circuits against dead shorts and sustained overloads. When it opens, it has done its job and needs a like-for-like replacement; match the 800 amp rating and the ANN series body so the fuse fits the mounting and clears at the current the circuit was engineered for.
