Mast Cable Asm – CR143959-009

Mast cable assemblies route electrical wiring up through a lift truck's mast structure, carrying power and signal to components mounted on the carriage or upper mast sections that move as the mast extends and retracts. Crown builds this assembly for that specific job, with the wire length and connector configuration matched to the travel distance and mounting points on its mast design.

Because the mast telescopes and the carriage rides up and down constantly during normal operation, the cable running through it needs enough slack and flex tolerance to follow that movement without pulling tight at full extension or bunching at full retraction. At 2.6 pounds, it carries the conductor count and length needed to serve the mast-mounted circuits on Crown equipment.

Repeated flexing over thousands of lift cycles is what eventually wears this class of cable, showing up as chafed insulation, a broken conductor strand, or a connector that has worked loose from vibration. Any of these can cause an intermittent or dead circuit in whatever the cable feeds, and replacing the full assembly restores a clean run through the mast without splicing into a cable built for constant motion.
