Proximity Sensor – RA1022002

Raymond uses this proximity sensor to detect the presence or position of a target without any physical contact, switching its output when a metal object comes within its sensing range. With no moving parts and nothing touching the target, it holds up in the dirty, vibrating environment of a lift truck far better than a mechanical switch, which is why it is used for position, speed, and interlock sensing.

A sensor in this role typically signals functions such as steering angle, motor speed, or a safety interlock, giving the controller a clean electrical input it can act on. When it fails, the function it feeds goes erratic or stops responding, since the controller is no longer getting the signal it expects.

Match the replacement to the sensor being removed by its body size and thread, its connector, and its electrical type so it threads into the same mount and reads correctly to the controller.
