Solenoid 24V – SOL-410-ORG

Energized at 24 volts, this solenoid uses its coil's magnetic field to pull in a contact or a mechanical plunger the moment the control circuit calls for it. On material handling equipment a solenoid at this voltage typically switches a high-current load or shifts a valve or lock that the operator controls indirectly, doing the heavy work a low-current switch cannot handle on its own. The 24 volt coil rating is the figure that has to match the truck's system voltage, since a coil wound for a different voltage will not pull in reliably and can overheat when mismatched. Solenoids fail by burned or welded contacts and by open or weakened coils, so a unit that chatters, fails to pull in, or no longer passes current has reached the end of its service life. Match the 24 volt coil rating and the terminal and mounting arrangement to the solenoid being replaced.
