Raymond's limit switch signals the truck's control system the moment a moving component reaches the end of its travel, giving the controller the input it needs to stop or reverse motion at a defined point. It is the electromechanical sensor that turns physical position into an electrical signal, closing or opening its contacts when an actuator, lever, or roller is pressed by the part it monitors.

On a lift truck a limit switch guards travel limits in functions like the mast, steering, or hydraulics, protecting components from being driven past their intended range. At about a sixth of a pound it is a compact device, and like any switch it wears through its contacts and its mechanical actuator, eventually failing to make or break reliably, which can leave a function stuck or unresponsive.

Match the actuator style, contact configuration, and mounting to the switch being replaced, since these determine both how the switch triggers and how it wires into the circuit on the Raymond truck it serves.
