Nikki Propane Vaporizer / Regulator – NI16310-GS40A

This Nikki propane vaporizer and regulator converts liquid propane from the tank into a metered vapor the engine can burn, using heat from engine coolant to force the phase change before the fuel reaches the mixer. It is built for UniCarriers LPG-powered lift trucks running the Nikki fuel system.

The vaporizer stage takes liquid LPG under tank pressure and boils it into gas, while the regulator stage steps that gas down to a pressure the engine's fuel system can use consistently across load and rpm changes. Because the unit handles both a phase change and a pressure drop in one housing, internal seals and diaphragms are exposed to temperature swings and fuel pressure cycling every time the truck starts and stops. Over time those diaphragms harden or crack, which shows up as rough idle, hesitation under load, or a truck that is hard to start cold, since the engine is no longer getting a stable fuel supply.

This unit is part of the 16310-GS40 vaporizer family used across a range of Nikki-equipped propane trucks. Replacing a worn vaporizer and regulator restores consistent fuel delivery rather than leaving the engine to run on an inconsistent, pressure-starved mixture.
