On an LPG-fueled lift truck the vaporizer is where liquid propane becomes the gas the engine can burn, and this Nikki unit does that conversion using heat drawn from the engine coolant loop. Liquid LPG enters under tank pressure, passes through a chamber warmed by circulating coolant, and leaves as vapor metered on toward the mixer and carburetion stage for combustion.

Turning liquid fuel into a steady vapor supply is what gives a propane engine clean starting and even running as demand changes across a shift. The unit plumbs into the fuel line as part of the conditioning stage, with coolant hoses on one side and the LPG line on the other, and its internal diaphragm and regulating elements hold delivery pressure steady rather than letting it swing with tank temperature.

A vaporizer is serviced or replaced when it ices up, leaks fuel or coolant, or can no longer hold regulated pressure, faults that show as hard starting, rough running, or stalling under load.
