Raymond's hydraulic elbow fitting routes a pressurized line around an angle where a straight fitting cannot follow the plumbing, carrying hose or tubing to a cylinder, valve, or manifold without the sharp bend that would kink and restrict the flow. The fixed angle machined into the body sets the turn, so the hose leaves the joint in the direction the routing needs rather than being forced into a stressed curve.

Built for the Raymond hydraulic circuit it serves, it is a direct replacement for the elbow already in place, threading into the same port and mating the same line. Hydraulic fittings are replaced when the threads or sealing surfaces are damaged or when a joint weeps under pressure, since a fitting that no longer seals cleanly bleeds off working pressure and lets contamination into the system.
