Crown Wiper Seal CR064017-016 – CR64017-016

This wiper seal fits Crown lift trucks and mounts at the rod end of a hydraulic cylinder, where it scrapes dirt, dust, and grit off the piston rod as it retracts so contamination cannot ride into the cylinder bore.

Because it sits at the outermost point of the seal stack and takes direct contact with whatever the rod picks up on its stroke, the wiper seal is typically the first component to wear. As the sealing lip abrades, it stops cleaning the rod effectively, which lets contaminants pass inward and accelerates wear on the rod seal and cylinder bore behind it. A worn wiper seal often shows up as a gritty film on the exposed rod or as the first sign of a slow hydraulic leak developing further inside the cylinder. Replacing it before that contamination spreads protects the rest of the cylinder's seal package.
