LP vaporizer and pressure regulator for Toyota lift trucks, converting liquid propane to vapor at the pressure the engine needs. Engine coolant warms the unit to boil the liquid propane, and a failed vaporizer causes hard starting, stalling, or poor running.
Converting liquid propane to vapor before it reaches the engine, this Aisan coolant-heated LPG vaporizer feeds the fuel system on Toyota propane forklifts, in the E-Controls variant with an electronically controlled fuel system. Engine coolant circulating through the unit supplies the heat that boils incoming liquid propane, so the regulator downstream receives fuel as vapor rather than liquid. It weighs about 2.6 pounds.
A vaporizer is a wear item. Its internal diaphragms and seats harden, take a set, and foul with the oily residue propane leaves behind, which shows up as hard starting, rough idle, and stumbling under load. Replacing the vaporizer restores clean, consistent vapor delivery and steady running.
Because propane fuel systems differ between mechanical and electronically controlled setups, match this to the E-Controls electronic fuel system it is built for, since the mechanical-control vaporizer is a different unit. Forklifts Etc. carries it as the Toyota LPG vaporizer in the E-Controls variant.
