Crown Flat Washer 1.5 mm – HW-1459

Spreading the clamping load of a bolted joint across a wider surface is the job of this flat washer, a Crown part measuring 1.5 mm thick and specified for Crown lift truck hardware assemblies. By seating between the fastener and the mating part, it lowers the point pressure a nut or bolt head would otherwise concentrate on the surface, and it keeps the fastener from digging into or marring the material beneath it.

Under repeated tightening or steady vibration, a washer can flatten, deform, or corrode, and once it does it no longer spreads load evenly, which lets the joint lose clamp force and loosen over time. Fitting a fresh washer during reassembly restores even load distribution and helps the joint hold its torque.

Match the washer's inner diameter to the fastener it rides on and its outer diameter to the joint surface, and confirm the 1.5 mm thickness suits the stack, since a washer only carries load when it seats fully and clears the fastener it surrounds.
