The Toyota LPG regulator and converter, an Aisan coolant-heated unit, turns liquid propane into vapor and regulates its delivery pressure for the 4Y propane engine. Engine coolant flows through the converter to boil the incoming liquid propane, and the regulator meters the vapor to the pressure the fuel system needs so the engine starts and runs on LP gas.
This is the Model-C casting, rated 250 psi working pressure, and it carries an identification tag stamped 35533 or 30N10 and weighs about 6.2 pounds. A converter is a wear item: its internal diaphragms and seats harden and its passages foul over time, causing hard starting and weak, rough running. Replacing it restores clean fuel delivery. Forklifts Etc. supplies it as the Toyota 4Y LPG regulator and converter.
