Measuring roughly 50 inches long and weighing about 30 pounds, this main brush is the primary sweeping element of an industrial floor sweeper, the rotating cylinder that pulls dirt and debris off the floor and throws it back into the hopper. As the workhorse of the machine, it runs constantly under load, and its filaments wear shorter with every hour of use until the brush no longer reaches the floor or moves material efficiently, which is the point at which it needs replacing.

The 50 inch working length sets the width of the sweep path, so the replacement has to match the length and the core mounting of the sweeper it serves in order to seat on the drive and turn true.
