Crown Hydraulic Reach Cylinder – CR-241

Driving the forward and backward extension of the fork carriage, this Crown hydraulic reach cylinder performs the reach function on a Crown electric reach truck. It is the hydraulic actuator that lets the operator extend the forks out to reach into a rack position and then retract them back for travel, a movement distinct from the mast's vertical lift and tied specifically to the truck's extend-and-retract mechanism.

Depending on the model variant it was built for, the cylinder operates as either double-acting or single-acting. A double-acting cylinder uses hydraulic pressure to drive both extension and retraction, while a single-acting version is powered in one direction and relies on gravity or a return spring for the other. It fits across Crown's RR, RD, and RC series reach trucks as the reach actuator rather than a lift or tilt cylinder.
