Raymond builds this dampener assembly to absorb the vibration and shock that travel through the chassis and controls of its lift trucks, cushioning a mounting point so load is not transmitted directly through the frame. As the elastomer element ages it hardens and loses its give, so a fresh dampener restores the cushion before the surrounding parts fatigue.
Raymond builds this dampener assembly to absorb the vibration and shock that travel through the chassis and controls of its lift trucks, cushioning a mounting point so load is not transmitted directly through the frame. A dampener isolates one component from another, softening the repeated impacts and harmonic vibration that would otherwise loosen fasteners and fatigue the parts around it.
As the elastomer or spring element inside a dampener ages, it hardens and loses the give that does the isolating, and the vibration it once absorbed starts reaching the components it was protecting. Replacing a worn dampener restores that cushion before the parts it shields begin to suffer.
Supplied as a complete Raymond assembly, it installs into the position it was cataloged for as a single unit rather than as separate components.
