175 Amp Yellow Connector Housing – AN-242

Color-coded yellow for the 175 amp family, this connector housing is the shell that holds the contacts for a high-current battery or motor connection on electric material handling equipment, supplied as the housing alone so contacts are selected to the cable gauge separately. The yellow keying is mechanical as well as visual: it mates only with a matching yellow, same-rating half, which prevents a 175 amp circuit from being joined to a connector rated for a different current.

The genderless housing pairs with an identical opposite half, the standard arrangement on battery leads and charger cordsets. Match the housing color and amp rating to the connector already on the equipment, and pair it with contacts sized to the cable being terminated, since the housing carries no contacts on its own and the wrong contact size runs hot under a 175 amp load.
