Wired into a 24 volt truck's battery circuit, this battery discharge indicator reads state of charge and shows the operator how much usable capacity is left before the pack needs charging. On many electric lift trucks it also drives a lift interrupt, cutting hydraulic lift once the battery reaches a set depth of discharge so the pack is not run flat and damaged.
Wired into a 24 volt truck's battery circuit, this battery discharge indicator reads state of charge and shows the operator how much usable capacity is left before the pack needs charging. On many electric lift trucks the indicator also drives a lift interrupt, cutting hydraulic lift once the battery reaches a set depth of discharge so the pack is not run flat and damaged.
A gauge that reads erratically or fails to lock out at the low-charge point can let a battery discharge too deeply, shortening its service life. Replacing a failed indicator restores both the charge readout and that protective cutoff. Match the unit to a 24 volt system, since the discharge thresholds are calibrated to the pack voltage.
