Built as a Group 27 AGM battery, this sealed lead-acid unit uses absorbed glass mat construction, which holds the electrolyte in glass separators rather than as free liquid so the battery is non-spillable and maintenance-free. AGM design lets it mount in tight or varied positions without leak risk and stand up to vibration better than a flooded battery, which suits it to equipment that moves and works the battery hard. Sealed construction also means there is no watering routine to keep up with over its service life.

As the plates age, capacity and run time between charges gradually fall, the normal end-of-life signal for a lead-acid battery. Match the Group 27 case size and the terminal type and position to the tray and cable setup it is going into, since group size determines whether the battery fits and the terminals determine whether the cables reach.
