This Raymond proximity sensor detects the presence or position of a metal target without physical contact, switching its output when the target moves within sensing range. Proximity sensors report position, travel limits, and speed to the truck's control system, and because they trigger with no moving parts to wear, a failure usually traces to physical damage, a cracked face, or a broken lead rather than mechanical wear.

A sensor that has stopped switching leaves the control system blind to the position it was watching, which can disable a function or throw a fault. Built for Raymond lift trucks, this sensor replaces the original in its mounting so the control system reads position correctly again. Match the thread or barrel size and the connector to the sensor coming out, since proximity sensors vary in body size, range, and output type.
