Fabricated as a single weldment, this Crown cross shaft is a transverse shaft with its arms, tabs, or brackets already joined to it by weld rather than bolted or pinned on. It spans between two points on a Crown lift truck and pivots to transfer motion or to hold a linkage in a fixed position, and building it as one welded unit keeps those attachment features permanently aligned to the shaft.

The value of a weldment here is that the arms and the shaft cannot shift relative to one another the way a bolted-up assembly can loosen and drift over time. A cross shaft is replaced when its pivot or bearing points wear and introduce play, when a welded arm cracks at the joint, or when the shaft itself bends under load and throws the linkage out of position.

Match the shaft length, the position and angle of the welded arms, and the bearing or pivot points to the cross shaft you are removing, since a weldment cannot be adjusted to fit after the fact.
