Rated at 35 amps of charging output, this belt-driven alternator keeps the battery topped and the electrical system supplied on equipment running the Nissan H20-II engine, a four-cylinder industrial powerplant common in internal-combustion forklifts. The 35 amp rating sets how much current it can return to the battery while ignition and accessories draw against it, enough for a standard lift truck electrical load without the shortfall that slowly discharges a battery through a shift.

Belt drive means the alternator turns off the engine's accessory pulley, so belt condition and tension bear directly on charging performance; a glazed or loose belt shows up as low output before the alternator itself is at fault. As the unit ages, worn brushes or a failing diode pack pull charging voltage down and set warning lamps flickering, the signal to rebuild or replace before it leaves the truck stranded.
