The front fork shaft on a Raymond lift truck is the steel shaft that carries the fork or load wheel at the leading end of the truck, and this replacement measures about 7.7 inches long with a diameter near 1.1 inches. At roughly 1.5 pounds, it is a solid machined shaft sized to the load it turns or supports at the front of the machine.

As a shaft it locates and rides against bearings or bushings, so its surface finish and diameter set how the parts around it turn and how tightly they hold.
