Raymond Retaining Ring RA410-022-11 – RA410-022/11

Seated in a machined groove, this Raymond retaining ring holds a shaft, bearing, or other component against the axial force that would otherwise let it work loose in service on a lift truck. The ring springs into its groove and takes the thrust load along the shaft, keeping the assembly stacked in position through the vibration and shock of daily duty.

It is a small part with a definite job: without it, the components it retains can shift, contact adjacent parts, or back out entirely, which is why it is replaced whenever an assembly it secures is opened up. Raymond catalogs it as a service part for that repair.

Match the ring to the groove diameter and thickness and to the shaft or bore it seats in, since a retaining ring sized to the wrong groove will not seat square or hold its load.
