Yale Motor Cover – HY-1939

The motor cover on a Yale lift truck encloses the traction or pump motor, shielding the windings, terminals, and connections beneath it from dust, debris, moisture, and incidental contact while the truck works. Yale builds it to sit over the motor housing, where it keeps contaminants out of the motor and helps direct cooling airflow across the frame so the motor runs at its intended temperature.

Left off or cracked, the cover exposes the motor to grit and physical damage that shortens the life of the windings and bearings, and it removes a guard between energized terminals and anything that brushes past. A sound cover keeps that protection in place through the vibration and wash-down of daily duty.

Match the replacement to the motor it protects by its footprint and fastener pattern, since covers differ across motor frames and a cover sized to a different frame will not seat or bolt down correctly.
