AW32 hydraulic oil carries the anti-wear additive package that protects pumps, valves, and cylinders under working pressure, formulated to ISO viscosity grade 32, a lighter-weight hydraulic fluid suited to systems that call for a 32 grade oil. The anti-wear chemistry lays down a protective film on the metal surfaces inside a hydraulic system, reducing the wear that pressure and metal-to-metal contact would otherwise cause across pumps and valve spools.

Its grade 32 viscosity flows readily at start-up and in cooler conditions while holding a working film at operating temperature, which is why a system engineered for a 32 weight oil should run one rather than a heavier grade. Supplied in a one gallon jug, it serves as the hydraulic fluid for lift truck and industrial hydraulic systems specified for AW32. Running the viscosity grade the system was designed around protects both the pump and the response of the hydraulics.
