The Crown Battery 6CRV220IT is the internal-thread variant of Crown's 6 volt, 220 amp-hour AGM deep-cycle battery, built for electric lift trucks and material handling equipment running a full discharge and recharge cycle each shift. Electrically it matches the standard 6CRV220, rated 220 amp-hours at the 20-hour rate and 172 amp-hours at the 5-hour rate, with the same Group GC2 case. The difference is the terminal: instead of the dual threaded-stud-and-SAE-post configuration, this battery uses internal-thread (IT) terminals that accept an M8 stud, the connection a compartment calls for when a standard exposed post will not clear the mounting space. IT and standard-terminal 6CRV220 batteries are not interchangeable, so confirming terminal type against the battery coming out of the truck is the first check before ordering.

Sealed AGM construction holds the electrolyte in glass mat separators rather than as free liquid, making the battery non-spillable and safe to handle, and it carries certification under IATA, ICAO, DOT, and IMDG standards for transport. As with any AGM traction battery, capacity fades and run time between charges shortens as the internal plates age, the normal signal that the battery has reached the end of its service life.
