Crown Gasket – 89-449

Crown builds this gasket to seal a bolted joint on its lift trucks, and at roughly five pounds it is a large-format gasket sized to a major mating surface rather than a small port or cover. A gasket this size seals the face between two big castings or housings, compressing under the bolt pattern to hold back fluid or pressure across a long joint line where any gap becomes a leak.

As a Crown part it matches the original footprint and bolt layout of the assembly it seals, so it drops onto the same surface without trimming or refitting. Gaskets harden and take a set over time and heat cycles, which is when a once-dry joint begins to weep, so this gasket is replaced whenever the housing is opened for other service rather than reused.
