The Toyota LP regulator and vaporizer, an Aisan coolant-heated converter in the Model-SC family, converts liquid propane into vapor and regulates its delivery pressure for the 4Y propane engine. Engine coolant heats the converter to boil the incoming liquid propane, and it meters the vapor to the pressure the fuel system needs so a propane forklift starts and runs cleanly.
It belongs to the 23560 Model-SC converter family used on Toyota 8-series LP forklifts. A converter is a wear item: its internal diaphragms and seats harden and its passages foul over time, causing hard starting and weak, rough running. Replacing it restores clean fuel delivery.
