This steering-arm magnet works with the steering position sensing on Crown lift trucks, referencing wheel angle as the arm moves so the system stays informed of direction. The accurate magnetic reference supports smooth, controlled response through travel and turns. Compact and fixed in place, it holds position through the repeated motion of daily steering.
Mounted to the steering arm, this magnet gives the truck's steering-angle sensing a moving magnetic reference to read as the arm swings through its travel. The sensor tracks the magnet's position to tell the control system which way the wheels are pointed and how far, which is what lets the steering respond smoothly and predictably through turns and straight travel.
The magnet itself is compact and fixed in its mount, holding position through the constant back-and-forth of daily steering. When it loosens, shifts, or its field weakens, steering feedback can drift or read inconsistently, and the system loses a clean angle reference.
A correctly seated magnet keeps that reference accurate. Seat it in the same position and orientation as the original, since the sensor is calibrated to read the magnet at a set location and air gap.
